Hello, and thank you for visiting the website of Jim Freeman -The Artist Bagpiper. I live in Lancaster, Pa and have been playing the pipes since 1996.
My professional musicianship and years of performing experience provide you with beautiful, captivating music for your special event - clean fingerwork and excellent intonation are my standards. As I am self-employed, I offer the convenience of being able to play your event on short notice, at any time, and within a wide radius of travel. Almost all of the events I play, weddings or funerals, will cost $200. That price is for a duration of an hour, give or take. For additional wedding reception or rehearsal, half/full day events, longer distances, please contact me and we can discuss pricing. I accept checks (made out to James Freeman) and cash.

About Me
As a member of the Chester County
Emerald Society Pipe Band and previously Greater Trenton Pipes&Drums, I have bagpiped many miles of parades, and have performed at countless weddings, funerals, memorials, graduations, birthday parties and public events. I play a big selection of Irish, Scottish, military and patriotic tunes, and below are video clips of my bagpiping, plus a list of tunes that I offer. If you have a tune in mind that you don't see on my list, call me and we'll see if it can be played on pipes. My last notable request was "Burning Ring of Fire", and the audience loved it.
My travel radius is eleven mid-state counties, and I perform in Lancaster, Harrisburg, Reading, York, Gettysburg, Quarryville, Lebanon, Manheim, Millersville, Columbia, Eprata, Selinsgrove, Mount Joy, and many more towns, cities.
Several times a year I am hired to give lectures on the history of the bagpipes and how they work, along with performance. Schools, U.S. Postal Service and park districts have been among my clients.
